A Bit About Me
I have been working therapeutically with individuals since 2010. I work primarily as a Psychotherapist but value the integration of body-mind in the therapeutic process.
An interest in the benefits of yoga, lead me to train as a yoga teacher in 2008. My own experiences of the transformative power of meditation and breath work lead me to further my yoga trainings in yoga therapy and meditation/yoga nidra, later training for 4 years on a Masters course in Psychotherapy, at the University of Brighton 2010-2014.

Six years after my initial training, I was invited back to the University of Brighton to teach and worked as a Senior Lecturer on the Post Graduate Humanistic Counselling Course and Masters in Psychotherapy Courses, training therapists 2018-2023.
I have a keen interest in PolyVagal theory, and Neurobiological ideas that see the Mind and Body as integral to each other. I am primarily a Psychotherapist but am able to offer an integration of restorative yoga, breathwork, grounding techniques, vagal toning methods and EMDR into my Psychotherapy work if appropriate, as trauma is held within the body as well as the mind. I work in an inclusive and trauma informed way which is fundamental to a Humanistic way of working. My specialisms include anxiety and trauma, with a particular interest in working with clients healing from narcissistic abuse and other forms of interpersonal abuse from parents, siblings, partners and other key individuals in a person's life.

I co-run Hurst Therapy Centre with my partner, delivering high quality therapy to the local community alongside our expert team and offer Clinical Supervision to therapists.
