A Bit About Me

I am an Integrative Humanistic Counsellor & Therapist specialising in Bereavement, Grief and Loss.

Grief and Loss can mean so many things, as well as Bereavement.

I try to offer a space that invites you to bring the raw and often unexplored realities of loss. To talk openly and be heard in a space that offers care and compassion.

'It is the broken heart, the heart that knows sorrow that is also capable of genuine love.' (Francis Weller)

Grief can also be...

-Divorce or Relationship Breakdown

-Loss of our perceived future

-Job loss

-Ageing

-Children growing up, going to school, leaving home

-Ageing Parents

-Anticipatory Grief

-The Childhood we didn't have and Childhood Trauma

-A Life Changing Health Diagnosis and Illness

-Loss of a beloved Pet

-Loss of Friends

-Navigating identity shifts

-Our hopes and dreams not being realised

It's never too late to talk. A lot of us have spent a lifetime pushing away difficult feelings and it's painful and takes a lot of courage to open up and talk about them, but I hope to provide you with a safe place to do so. I believe that counselling is about the relationship between client and therapist and where appropriate I will offer tools alongside talking therapy that may help you on your journey to a happier more fulfilling life. We do not 'fix' grief but we tend to it in a gentle and safe way. I am not a 'blank slate' therapist, I offer warmth and an environment in which to explore all of who you are.

My areas of interest in my work are Grief, Bereavement, Neurodivergence, Perimenopause/Menopause and Burnout.

My personal interests that I sometimes draw from are Neuroscience, Consciousness, Buddhist Philosophy, Mindfulnessness, Breathwork, Movement, Sound therapy, Contrast therapy (heat and cold) and Ecotherapy.
